Middle School XC Teams Earn Runner-up Spots

The Middle School harriers returned to Fisher Farm Monday, Sept. 28 to face their WPAA conference rivals once again. Both the boys and girls captured runner-up positions, both behind St. Mark.

Joey C. once again battled to the finish, leading our Blazers’ boys team with a well-fought second place finish (out of a field of 38) this time just eight seconds off the leader. Jack B. broke into the top five with another close finish at the line. The boys were just two points behind St. Mark.

On the girls side, they once again easily captured a solid second place team finish. The strong pack of Dina C., Adina J., and Leilani R. could not be broken up as they claimed 6, 7, and 8th place. Their teammates stepped it up by making huge gains this week and clustering together to take 11, 13, 15, and 16th place (out of a field of 31).

The harriers will be back in action Monday, Oct. 5th as they battle for what will be an extremely close Conference Championship race at Christ the King in Huntersville.
