September 22: Woodlawn vs Christ the King

The Trailblazers came out strong in the first set against Christ the King with 8 kills, 2 blocks and a serving percentage of 95%. Strong serving and great defense from Kelsie Milburn ‘17 kept Woodlawn competitive, but the Blazers lost the first two sets 23-25 and 21-25. However, the team came together in the third set and decidedly won, 25-18, thanks to great serve receive passing from Morgan Klein ’19 and seventh grader Arielle T. Three solo blocks from Natalie Buechler ‘16 shut down the opponents, who couldn’t gain momentum. Overall, the Blazers performed very well, with 50 digs, 9 blocks, 27 kills and a team serving percentage of 90%.
