This year’s theme: The Soundtrack of Our Lives.
A love for music is found in many of us, and more often than not, it begins when we are young. Music shapes us. It’s moving. It supports us through the everyday, the tough times, and the best of times. It speaks to our emotions, helping us to navigate feelings and experiences, and opens doors to understanding ourselves and the life around us.
Woodlawn is like music. Students create, experience, and learn to understand themselves, gaining insight and skills that relate to real-world experiences; a voice of choice – expressive and uplifting.
With music as the cue, the 2022-2023 yearbook team set out to ask students across grade levels to share their favorite music, songs, and artists, and to also share their advice for other students in approaching learning and campus life.
The yearbook is a student-led publication. From the theme to the cover design, book layout, and the courage to try fun and new interactive features, this book is the student’s vision come to life. We hope you enjoy it!
Thank you Erik, Ava, Courtney, Libby, Caitlyn, Claire, and Reema for your work on the 2022-23 yearbook. You went above and beyond to create a book that captured the Woodlawn spirit across campus for everyone to enjoy.
With your ability to navigate all of the tiny details and deadlines you always rose to the challenge (even during spring break) to make certain we had everything in place and ready for print.
Congratulations on creating a yearbook that is fun, uniquely Woodlawn, and is our first interactive yearbook!
Well done, ‘Blazers!
