October 13: Woodlawn vs Hickory Christian

The Blazers came out strong, decidedly winning the first set, 25-18. Consistent serving from Rachel Neal ‘17, Amelia Woodall ’17, and Kelsey Milburn ’17 set the team ahead of the competition. Amelia and Natalie Buechler ’16 anchored the back row and with strong defensive efforts. The Blazers lost some momentum, however, and dropped the next three sets for a loss: 25-18, 21-25, 11-25, 14-25. Overall, Arielle T. ’20 led the team with four aces, four kills, and ten digs. Amelia posted seven kills, 24 digs, and two aces, while Natalie posted eight kills, 22 digs, and three blocks.
