STEAMfest

The mission of STEAMfest is to provide youth of all ages with free opportunities to Imagine, Discover, and Explore topics in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through fun and engaging hands-on activities. STEAMfest was founded by Woodlawn School to benefit the school and community.

Are you ready? STEAMfest returns for the 4th year on Sunday, March 26 from 12 PM to 7 PM! With almost 100 hands-on activities, there will be something for children and adults of all ages.

We are excited to announce a new edition to STEAMfest this year – The Village Square. Come out to meet and shop with local artisans, educational vendors, community non-profits, and food trucks. It’s going to be a day full of discovery and exploration for everyone!

STEAMfest is powered by great individuals just like you! Volunteering for STEAMfest is a great way to give back to the community, meet new people, and support the STEAMfest mission! Are you ready to help the Lake Norman community imagine, discover, and explore?

STEAMfest

STEAMfest Live is the largest annual science and arts festival in the region. In April 2022, doubling our first Live event attendance rate in 2020, over 800 guests explored over 60 hands-on activity booths created by local colleges, libraries, museums, schools, clubs, and businesses.

STEAMfest Virtual features over 100 free STEAM activities that you can explore at home. Since 2021, over 7000 youth from 49 countries have participated in STEAMfest Virtual.

Project Based Learning approach.

Woodlawn is a private school providing a project based learning curriculum for early explorers preschool, lower, middle, and upper school academics. Our historic 61-acre campus is located just north of Charlotte, NC in beautiful Mooresville, and within driving distance of Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville, North Mecklenburg, and Concord.
