A PATH TOWARDS EXCELLENCE
TO BE A MENTOR
Woodlawn students ask great big wonderful questions: Who am I? What are my natural talents and abilities? How do I pursue excellence in areas of passion? Where do I fit in the world? Our mentor program helps them find those answers!

MUTUAL CONNECTION
WHY MENTOR
Our Mentor program helps students connect with people who share their passions and interests, and can help students learn more about professions that align with those interests and abilities.
Woodlawn Mentors help students develop a path toward excellence in those fields and find meaningful ways for students to gain real world work experience.
Woodlawn Mentors connect with students using email and videoconferencing two to three times per month, suggesting ways students can learn more about the profession, answering questions, sharing ideas, and identifying opportunities for enrichment. In February, Mentors host (or help arrange) a five-day internship for an 11th grade student.
