Philanthropy is how
Woodlawn stays extraordinary.
Tuition income covers 92% of Woodlawn’s annual revenue. Charitable contributions from families, alumni, and community partners cover the rest, directly supporting the people, programs, and access that make Woodlawn what it is.
Giving is part of
what it means to be a ‘Blazer.
Nearly all independent schools rely on annual giving because tuition does not cover the full cost of educating each child. Woodlawn is no different. Philanthropy from our families, grandparents, alumni, and community partners funds the gap between what tuition covers and what an extraordinary education actually costs.
Every dollar given to the ‘Blazer Fund is a dollar the school does not have to raise through tuition. Every gift to Bowman Hall is a room that will shape students for decades. Every corporate partnership is a connection between the broader Lake Norman business community and the students who will one day be part of it.
This is not transactional giving. It is the community taking responsibility for the kind of education it wants to exist in Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville, and the Lake Norman region.
Every gift is tax-deductible and goes directly to student success, faculty development, and keeping Woodlawn accessible to every family who belongs here.
A $3.5M campaign for Woodlawn’s new academic center: classrooms, Inquiry Lab, and Middle School Science Lab. ~68% funded.
Bowman Hall: An Academic Center
for Excellence Opens January 2027.
Bowman Hall is Woodlawn’s next great chapter: a purpose-built academic center housing dedicated classrooms, a state-of-the-art Inquiry Lab, and a Middle School Science Lab. Named for founders Karen + Dwayne Bowman, it is the realization of everything this school has always stood for.
The New Horizons Campaign has raised approximately 68% of its $3.5M goal. Construction is underway. Your gift brings this building, and the students who will fill it, one step closer to opening day.
Every form of support matters.
