Lower School Visual Arts Teacher

Woodlawn School is seeking an experienced lower school art teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate is a curious, enthusiastic classroom leader who models lifelong learning, and enjoys working with lower school-age students. The successful candidate is flexible, confident, and passionate about choice-based art classrooms, and has a strong interest in project-based interdisciplinary curriculum.

The school seeks faculty members who are passionate about their respective areas of expertise, eager to collaborate with other teachers across disciplines, committed to ongoing professional development, and willing to contribute their talents and time to extra-curricular student programming and activities. Woodlawn offers a challenging, integrated academic experience and is accredited by both the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

The successful candidate will have a related bachelor’s degree, with masters preferred. We are eager to welcome someone into our community who will live the mission and core values of our school, and who will work to inspire a love of art in our lower school students. Interested candidates please send a cover letter and resume to Holly Honeycutt, Associate Head of School, [email protected]
