Duke University
My dream for Woodlawn as a school and community is to continue growing yet never lose the project-based learning curriculum or the teacher-to-student connections.
The life lessons I learned both in and out of the classroom are what I will definitely remember most about Woodlawn. Through all of our discussions and projects, I have learned how to work collaboratively within a team as well as the skills of persistence and accountability which I will carry throughout my life.
My favorite memory of senior year was my signing day to Duke University. I was so lucky to have been able to celebrate this special day with all of my classmates and teachers.
I will miss the teachers the most. They truly know me as a person and are always there to support me. No matter if I am having a bad day or a good one, they will check in on me and still help me learn while keeping in mind that I am a human being. In this school, you are a name, not a number, and that is something I will miss dearly.
I am most looking forward to all the new opportunities that will come as I start college. The best part is, I feel completely ready for whatever life may throw at me which stems from the preparation that Woodlawn gave me.
