The work happens everywhere.
At Woodlawn, learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings. Student life, athletics, arts, community events, and student leadership are all extensions of the same belief: that real growth happens when students are engaged, challenged, and given room to lead.
More than a school.
A community.
From student council to community service, ‘Blazers develop agency, leadership, and connection through every part of campus life.
Athletics
‘Blazer athletics build teamwork, discipline, and school spirit. Students compete with character and learn as much on the field as in the classroom.
Visual + Performing Arts
From studio art to performance, students engage in creative work that develops voice, discipline, and aesthetic sensibility.
Student Council
Student Council gives ‘Blazers a direct role in shaping school culture by advocating for peers and organizing community events.
Service + Outreach
‘Blazers are taught to look outward. Community service projects connect students to real needs in the Lake Norman region and beyond.
National History Day
Woodlawn’s 8th and 10th grades have a strong NHD tradition with students consistently advancing to state and national competitions.
Senior Capstone
The culminating experience of a Woodlawn education: a meaningful question, deep research, and a presentation to community experts.
“The transition that we have seen in our daughter in just the first few weeks here is amazing. She’s excited about her new friends, her teachers, and the work she is doing.”Woodlawn Parent, Middle School
Every generation belongs here.
Grandfriends Program
Woodlawn’s Grandfriends program invites grandparents and special community members into school life from campus visits to named benches and recognition in Bowman Hall.
