01
Inquire
Start by telling us about your family. Our inquiry form takes just a few minutes and gives us the basic information we need to reach out and begin the conversation. Include your child’s current grade, contact information, and any questions you have for us. We will be in touch shortly after receiving your inquiry.
02
Visit Campus
A website cannot capture what Woodlawn feels like. We strongly encourage families to schedule a personal tour before submitting an application. During your visit, you will walk the 61-acre campus, meet teachers and students, and see classrooms in action. Most families know within the first visit whether Woodlawn is the right fit.
03
Submit an Application
Applications and the $100 fee are submitted online. Once your application is received, your student is assigned a checklist that includes requesting a transcript from their current school (Grades 1 through 12) and teacher recommendations for all grades. Completing all checklist items is required to be considered for admission, and also to be placed on the waitlist if space is unavailable.
Application deadline for first-round consideration: February 1, 2027. Rolling admissions thereafter.
04
Shadow Day or Discovery Day
For students in PreK through 12th Grade, the Shadow Day is where the application process becomes real. Your student spends a full day on campus alongside a current ‘Blazer, sitting in on classes, meeting teachers, and experiencing the Woodlawn schedule firsthand. The admission team conducts a one-on-one assessment during the visit. The Admission Office reaches out to schedule Shadow Days after an application is received.
PreK through 12: Shadow Day (scheduled by Admission Office) Early Childhood: Discovery Days · Feb 18 + Mar 25, 2027
05
Family Conference + Decision
Once all steps are complete, the admission team schedules time to meet with your family. We share what we observed during the Shadow or Discovery Day, answer any remaining questions, and discuss next steps. Admission decisions are communicated shortly after this conversation. If your student is placed on the waitlist, you will be notified and kept informed as space becomes available.
