Woodlawn Strong is the school’s most spirited week of the year. Beginning with Woodlawn Day on Friday, October 30 and culminating with the Boots, Buckles, + Bowties Gala on Saturday, November 7, the week unites students, faculty, families, and the broader Lake Norman community around shared purpose and the ‘Blazer Fund.

Woodlawn Strong is not a single event. It is nine days of community, challenge, and commitment that runs from Woodlawn Day on Friday, October 30 through the Green + White Gala on Saturday, November 7. Every day of the week has its own energy, its own challenge, and its own way of bringing the school community together around a shared cause.
The silent auction runs the full week, opening Sunday, November 1. Bidding builds daily as new items are added and the community rallies around their favorites. All proceeds from the week go directly to the ‘Blazer Fund, supporting the students, faculty, and programs that make Woodlawn what it is in Mooresville, NC.
Woodlawn Strong is open to the entire community. You do not have to be a current family to participate in the silent auction or support the week. If you are part of the Lake Norman community, there is a place for you in this week.

Every day of Woodlawn Strong Week has its own moment. Here is how the week unfolds from Woodlawn Day through the Gala.
Woodlawn Day · Oct 30
The week opens with Woodlawn Day: an on-campus celebration that kicks off the Woodlawn Strong spirit. Students, faculty, and families come together to launch the week with the energy that carries through to the Gala.
Silent Auction · Opens Nov 1
The weeklong silent auction opens Sunday, November 1 and runs through the Gala on November 7. Items span experiences, services, student-made class art projects, and community contributions. All proceeds go directly to the ‘Blazer Fund.
Daily Challenges · Nov 2–6
Each school day, Monday through Friday, brings a new community challenge. Challenges are designed to unite every division of the school, from Early Childhood through Upper School, around a shared moment of fun, connection, and ‘Blazer pride.
Gala Finale · Nov 7
Woodlawn Strong Week closes with the Gala on Saturday, November 7. The silent auction closes at the Gala, winners are announced, and the week’s fundraising total is revealed. The perfect ending to the most spirited week of the year.

The Woodlawn Strong silent auction is one of the most spirited moments of the week. Bidding opens Sunday, November 1 and runs through the Gala on Saturday, November 7. Items span experiences, services, merchandise, and the beloved student-made class art projects created by every division across the school.
If you have something worth bidding on, we want it in the auction. Businesses, families, alumni, and community members are all welcome to donate items. Every contribution is recognized in the Woodlawn Strong auction materials and directly benefits Woodlawn students through the ‘Blazer Fund.
The deadline to submit items is Friday, October 23, 2026 to allow time for cataloging, photography, and inclusion in auction materials before the opening on November 1.
