Woodlawn Boys Team Victorious in First SPAA Meet of the Season

Sept. 14, 2015 – Racing for the second time in three days, the Trailblazers traveled to Christ the King Catholic School for a meet featuring seven of the eight SPAA Conference member schools. The boys team put together a score of 44 points, enough to edge Carmel Christian for the win. Junior Quinn Schneider displayed a powerful kick to take the individual win by one second in the boys race, while Bella Jacoby and Anne Cunningham ran together the whole way to take the third and fourth positions in the girls race.

The boys team victory demonstrated that they will once again be a top contender for the 1A state title, with Schneider, sophomore Tripp Berini and juniors Zach Lorch and Austen Castellano returning from last year’s state championship team. Freshman James Folds rounded out the top-5 scoring for the Trailblazers.
