October 1: vs. United Faith
The Blazers showed great character and poise in a hard fought game against the relentless United Faith Falcons. Will Hedrick ’18, Clayton Kolls ’18, Jake Johnson ’17, and Bennett Kolls ’16 had shots on goal, and it was a shot by Jake Johnson ‘17 that found the back of the net to give the Blazers the 1-0 shutout. The goal came in the 56th minute, off of a Hank Grzeszczak ’19 corner kick that came swinging in from the right side, bounced off the cross bar, and fell perfectly for Jake to send it crashing into the goal. Nick Trovato ’19 recorded 11 saves on 11 shots.
