Al Wills Wins 100m Breaststroke at State Meet


Junior Al Wills saved his best performances for the NCISAA 1A/2A State Meet in Greensboro. He came out on top of the entire field in his best event, the 100m breaststroke, with a new school record time of 1:05.31. As if that wasn’t enough, he placed 5th in the 200m individual medley, with a time of 2:17.56. Al’s 34 points gave Woodlawn 17th place overall in the boys competition, 2nd among 1A teams. Al becomes the first Woodlawn swimmer to earn an All-State award, given to winners of each event at the state meet.
