October 2: Woodlawn vs Carmel Christian
The Blazers played their third game in one week and eventually found their groove in the second and third sets against Carmel Christian. It was a great offensive match for the team, with ten aces and 27 kills. Abigail Woodall ‘ 19, Amelia Woodall ‘ 17, and Natalie Buechler ’16 posted 100% serving percentage and seven of the team’s aces. Natalie earned ten kills and 13 digs on the evening, and Amelia posted six kills and ten digs. Abigail also contributed most effectively on defense with 16 digs. Overall, the team dug up 80 balls and earned five blocks but lost 1-3: 15-25, 20-25, 25-23, 14-25.
