Events Happening Tonight:

• Popsicles on Playground – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm – Woodlawn Playground (located behind the Carriage House). A great time for fun and play for students and families to gather on the playground and meet some new friends!
• August Garden Watermelon and Art Wonderland! – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm – Walk through the garden using our numbered stepping stones to solve riddles and find treasures!  Also, there will probably be ripe tomatoes, peppers, and basil and popsicles!  And there are always herbs! Join the garden fun with Mrs. Denham!  (Please note this is the same time as the popsicles on the playground event – you can do both at the same time!) 
• Middle School Summer Social – 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Quad Field/Lodge Patio – Come out and connect with friends, meet some of our new Woodlawn middle schoolers, and play games on the Quad field. There will be pizza, snacks, and ice cream. Please use this Google Form to RSVP

Know Your Trees

Visit the Davidson Lands Conservancy (DLC) booth at the Davidson Farmers Market on Saturday, August 20, for free activities presented by the Woodlawn STEAMfest team. Davidson Lands Conservancy’s mission is to conserve local lands and natural resources, connect lives to nature, and promote a conservation ethic. Each fall, DLC holds the Run For Green race as a fundraiser.

This weekend’s activities include a leaf identification game and a leaf rubbing craft. These FREE activities are open to youth and families of all ages.

This is a great opportunity to promote the STEAMfest mission and educate the community about Woodlawn School while supporting the Davidson Lands Conservancy.

Please consider visiting the Davidson Farmers Market if you are in town on Saturday, August 20. Stop by the DLC booth, enjoy the activities, and sign up for the race!

We need volunteers to help staff the booth. It’s fun and rewarding to interact with the youth and the community. Email [email protected] if you have a few hours available between 8:30 AM and Noon. We could use your help! In appreciation, all volunteers will receive a STEAMfest t-shirt!
