Welcome to The Blaze! Our way of keeping you CONNECTED to all things Woodlawn! We love our Woodlawn Alumni and feel that we have been out of touch longer than we like! The Blaze will be a quarterly newsletter that will enable us learn what all of our amazing alumni are doing, connect alumni to each other, and keep you feeling connected to being a Trailblazer. Because as we know here at Woodlawn, Once a Blazer, Always a Blazer!
For any questions, comments, or ways to help us better connect with our Woodlawn Alumni, please contact Kari McCormick. Also, if you know of a Woodlawn Alumni that did not receive this email communication, please forward it along to them so that we can have the opportunity to collect their contact information.
A Year in Rewind
At Woodlawn, the past 12 months have been a period of adapting to COVID and working hard to maintain safety and sustain our normal course work. From expanded outdoor classrooms to a robust, virtual STEAMfest event, Woodlawn School, its families and staff, have risen to the challenges of the pandemic.
We are thrilled that we have just resumed daily classes on campus for all grades. Our Medical Advisory Board has helped us tremendously throughout the past year as we have worked to maintain our goal of zero transmission of the virus while on campus.
Graduation is Approaching
The 2021 graduating class includes 19 seniors who we have loved being a part of the Woodlawn community. Their college acceptance list has been growing and growing and we can’t wait to share their college selection with you. That way you can see if any of Woodlawn’s 2021 graduating class will be attending your alma mater!
This years graduation is set for Thursday, June 3, 2021! It is hard to believe that it’s just a few weeks away.
