IN A LANE OF THEIR OWN

SWIMMING

DISCOVER THE DIFFERENCE
Swimming builds endurance, muscle strength, and cardiovascular fitness. And of course, swimming is a valuable life skill.

Swimming at Woodlawn started in 2010 with the middle school swimming “club” team. The varsity team joined interscholastic competition in 2013.

The varsity team competes in the NCISAA Class 1A/2A with the SPAA conference.

Boys and girls swim teams compete in the winter season.

Joseph Brockman

MEET OUR Coach

Hello, my name is Joseph Brockman. I am a Senior at Davidson College majoring in Economics with a minor in Data Science. I grew up in St. Petersburg Florida where I competed and trained for St. Petersburg Aquatics, a silver and bronze USA swim program. I swam Varsity as a Middle Schooler and worked my way up through my club team to swim Division I at Davidson College for two years. I have been a volunteer swim coach for my club and have extensive knowledge of the sport. I am excited to build up the Woodlawn swim team and hope to bring home some wins this season!
