2015 Capital Projects

Track and Field Complex

In May, 2015, Woodlawn announced that several alumni families had committed $760,000 in donations and pledges toward the track & field complex. Construction began in August, 2015 and was completed in the spring of 2016. The complex includes a certified 400-meter, eight-lane track, high jump pit, pole vault pit, two long jump pits, shot put area, and discus area. The interior of the track includes a natural grass soccer field built to NCAA standards. A parking lot with 88 spaces is adjacent to the south end of the track, and there is stone seating for spectators along the home stretch.

The complex serves as the primary practice/competition venue for our varsity boys and girls track teams and our varsity girls and boys soccer teams. Middle school teams also utilize the facility, as do the life sports programs for both lower and middle schools. If you wish to make a contribution or a pledge to contribute to the track and field project – just fill out the gift/pledge form and mail it or drop it off at the school office.
