April 14: Woodlawn vs Carmel Christian
As our new field is being installed, Woodlawn hosted Carmel Christian for a “home” game at Mazeppa Park. It was a challenging game from the outset, with the ‘Blazers missing a few starters against an experienced Cougar squad. In her debut in goal, Claire Stutzman ’17 relieved goalie Alsu Johnson ’19 and made some key saves. The offensive attack was led by Lexi Navarro ’17, who connected with speedy supporting runs by Rachel Neal ’17 as well as Megan Dailey ’19 and Emma McGeough ’19. Their attack kept up through the final whistle; Carmel Christian won, 6-0.
